Care notes for every plant

Sunlight

Full sun, 6 hours or more. It takes some shade but flowers less.

Through the seasons

Keeps flowering right through 45°C heat. Too much water in the monsoon rots the roots, so grow it in a well-drained pot.

Comfortable at 12–45°C

Care steps

  1. Let the soil dry between waterings. It hates wet roots.
  2. Pinch the tips while it is young for a bushier plant.
  3. It seeds itself, so let a few pods ripen for free new plants.
